The Sequestrum is an underground necromantic cult that seeks to bring Daemons from their plane to our world "as our true rulers".
It is not know how long the Sequestrum have existed.
In 193 A.Y., The Sequestrum struck a devastating blow against the Veldron Kinghts. More than two-thirds of all Knights were killed during the ambush in Palrim..
In Sept. 497, a group of Sequestrum were publicly seen in Irroquin. They attacked a group of travelers participating in a local tournament after trying to recruit them. They magickally severed the arm from the Abbess of The Mother Rachel Theresa and used it to create a golem, which was used to open a portal to the daemon realm. Several daemons escaped before the portal was closed, which took the lives of Veldron Knight Bebar La Vash and Mmatmuor, a daemonologist.
Few members of the Sequestrum have been seen in public and they are not well known among the population of Xaria.
Of those seen, all Sequestrum members have a device upon them that appears to be in the form of a hourglass with a skull in the upper portion. These usually appear as tattoos, some hidden but others large and easily distinguishable. Sequestrum members appear to be full mages likely necromancers, and are likely to carry magickal objects upon them. Occasionally, they have been seen accompanied/protected by insane warriors clad in armor of bone, which are likely magicked. .
